After 3 years in Hereford, external Wall insulation replacement (EWI) works by GPD, are now nearing completion.

Works have consisted of nearly 2000m2 of EWI at two Hereford housing developments.

Catherine Court, Hereford (main contractor EG Carter)
Wetherby Cavity Rail EWI system was chosen by our client Shropshire Housing to replace an insulated scratch render system. The original system was installed around 10 years ago.

Barton Place, Hereford (main contractor B&M Babbage)
The project started in 2017, again for Shropshire Housing.

The original system was with a 1st generation EWI system, again installed around 10 years ago. Incorrect design and detailing unfortunately resulted in the system failure.

A Permarock mineral wool EWI system provided the new system at Barton Place, which has been carefully installed to manufacturers guidelines for installation onto a timber frame construction.

Silicone K Finish was selected for both projects. The original colour schemes were retained to satisfy planning requirements.
