As described in the EWI section, timber frame construction is increasingly common in the UK market. Both systems provide efficient sustainable construction methods.
Thin-coat rendered finish to timber frames is particularly suitable and cost efficient. The process involves the use of a render system approved Cementitious Render Board (this can be non-combustible), applied to timber battens. The thin coat reinforced render system is applied directly.
